Marsden Park Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade was first established in June1944 after it was moved at a P&C meeting at Marsden Park Primary School by Mr. J. Abell and seconded by Mr.A. Klincke that the P&C convene a meeting to form a Bush Fire Brigade.

The Brigade was officially approved by Blacktown Shire Council, now Blacktown City Council, at a council meeting on the 30th Novmeber 1944.
Some of the foundation members were Mr John "Jack" Abell, Mr Albert Klinck, Mr Fred Mangold, Mr Harry Nairn, Mr harry lennon, Mr Jock Simpson, Mr John ( Jack )Dwyer, Mr Eric Gallen And Mr Victor Gallen.
